Zac Brown and Kelly Yazdi’s separation has been a notable topic in the media. They announced their split in December 2023, just four months after their marriage, which drew significant public attention.
“We are in the process of divorce. Our mutual respect for one another remains,” the pair shared in a statement.
“We wish each other the best and will always appreciate our time together. As we navigate this personal matter, we simply request privacy during this time.”
Following their breakup, Zac Brown and Kelly Yazdi initially appeared amicable. However, tensions escalated when Brown filed a lawsuit against Yazdi in May 2024. Yazdi responded by dismissing the lawsuit as a “meritless complaint.”
On May 17, 2024, Zac Brown filed a lawsuit against Kelly Yazdi, requesting that she remove an Instagram post.
Brown claimed the post violated a confidentiality agreement she signed during their relationship.
In his court filings, he sought an emergency temporary restraining order to force her to take down the post.
“After much deliberation, I took the steps necessary to enforce an agreement between us to maintain personal and business affairs in confidence and to protect my family from online harassment and speculation,” Brown toldin a statement.
“My only hope is for us to keep private matters private and to move forward with the mutual respect we had agreed to show one another when we parted ways.”
On August 8, 2024, Kelly Yazdi addressed the situation on Instagram, explaining that her silence on social media was due to concerns that any posts might lead to further legal actions against her, which she felt would suppress her freedom of speech.
Kelly Yazdi claimed Zac Brown informed her of the divorce via Zoom, which she found surprising.
However, a source told that Brown had actually informed her in person the night before
Thanksgiving at his Georgia home. Additionally, the situation reportedly escalated in January 2024 when Yazdi allegedly arrived unannounced at Brown’s house by bypassing security cameras.
There were also claims that Yazdi was holding onto Brown’s car and had refused to return it.
Yazdi’s lawyers responded to the allegations by suggesting they were likely coming from Brown’s side.
They described the claims about Yazdi’s January actions as part of a PR strategy intended to intimidate her, especially following her decision to speak out publicly.
