Who is Tyrese Dating? The Relationship With Zelie Timothy Rekindled

Tyrese and his girlfriend, Zelie Timothy, have rekindled their relationship just days after announcing their breakup on social media.

The actor and R&B singer confirmed their reconciliation on Valentine’s Day (February 14) by sharing photos of the two of them on his Instagram account.

“If apologizing would’ve taken me another two weeks, I would’ve done it because you’re worth it. I’m sorry, babe,” Tyrese wrote in his post.

“I love you. Happy Valentine’s Day. @zelietimothy, you ARE the BEAUTY that I’ve discovered in my pain…. Tyrese.Tv is live for only 8 more hours… She’s giving me dirty looks now while I’m writing this loooonnngggg ass caption lol.”

Two days before Valentine’s Day, Tyrese had shared on Instagram that Timothy had left him due to the number of songs about his ex-wife featured on his new album, Beautiful Pain.

“Me and Zelie just broke up over some dumb shit,” he stated. “She demanded that I cancel my ALBUM because there’s too many songs about my ex on there… what does that even mean?”

Tyrese had previously mentioned that much of Beautiful Pain was inspired by his challenging divorce from ex-wife Samantha Lee.

“I want to give y’all the heads up. For all of the uber-sensitive people, one thing y’all are not gonna do, whether I’m a man, a woman, Black, whatever — y’all are not gonna be able to stop me from speaking, walking, and living in my truth,” he said during an Instagram Live chat with Kenny Burns.

He continued: “And if your brain is triggered by a man having real conversations about his thoughts and his feelings and what he experienced, and you view that as bashing or tearing down someone just because they happen to be a woman, then your whole process is wrong.”

Tyrese added: “Because my ex is doing ‘Miracle Mondays’ all over Instagram… taking shots at me every day, calling my current girlfriend a jezebel.

I just want y’all to keep the same energy with people expressing themselves. She’s allowed to feel however she wants to feel. She can use whatever platform she wants. She can write a book, do a podcast.”

“I wish her well. But if you can express your thoughts and feelings and play victim, then I can express my thoughts and feelings through my music, through writing books, and through interviews. And you’ve got to handle that the way I handle it because — it’s work.”

Lee had previously described her breakup with Tyrese as “messy,” while Tyrese has accused her of being with him for financial reasons.
