Rob Dyrdek and his wife, Bryiana Dyrdek (née Flores), met in an unconventional way.
The former professional skateboarder first connected with Bryiana online. According to Bryiana, Rob reached out to her on X (formerly Twitter), but she was unfamiliar with his MTV work.
Despite her initial hesitations about going out with him, Bryiana decided to take a chance.
Since then, the couple married in 2015 and welcomed two children. While Rob, the host of *Ridiculousness*, has shared glimpses of their daily life online, he often expresses his admiration for his wife.
“Thank you for a love far beyond my ability to dream. Our life and love is so much better than I knew it could be on this day 10 years ago,” Rob wrote on Instagram in 2023 to commemorate their first conversation in 2013.
In February 2024, the couple was still as affectionate, with Bryiana posting a carousel of their Valentine’s Day celebrations, which included balloons, decorations, candy, champagne, golf, and a date night.
“A very belated love day dump because we love love too much to not share the love,” she wrote in the caption of the February 2022 post.
So who is Rob Dyrdek’s wife? Here’s what you need to know about Bryiana Dyrdek and her relationship with the TV personality.
As a child, Bryiana was diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia. This condition, as defined by the Mayo Clinic, occurs when the body fails to produce enough new blood cells, resulting in fatigue and other complications.
In a 2018 interview on The Inner Circle podcast with life coach Carrie Doll, Bryiana shared that her doctor had given her only “a few days to live” and recommended a bone marrow transplant.
While waiting for a donor match, she began chemotherapy and received several blood platelet transfusions. Although doctors couldn’t find a match, Bryiana eventually went into remission, as there is no known cure for aplastic anemia.
During this time, the Make-A-Wish Foundation granted her a trip to Hawaii, where she swam with dolphins. She later wrote on her website that this experience set her “on the path to a life that had no limits as long as she dreamed big enough.”
Bryiana began participating in beauty pageants as a teenager and later moved to Los Angeles to pursue modeling. She was discovered in a local restaurant shortly after moving, she told The Blemish in 2013.
Bryiana took a meeting at Playboy headquarters, participated in a test shoot, and was subsequently offered the centerfold spot in an upcoming issue. In September 2013, Playboy named her Playmate of the Month.
Rob and Bryiana first connected on social media in September 2013, and both have reflected on their initial interactions, including sharing a screenshot on Instagram in 2020 of their early messages.
“He started following me on Twitter, then started DMing, and eventually texted me asking if I wanted to hang out,” Bryiana recounted on The Inner Circle podcast.
She admitted she was unsure about meeting him at first but decided to take a chance. She recalled posting about an animal shelter in Bakersfield that was closing, and Rob suggested they take a helicopter to rescue some puppies—a proposal she wasn’t sure was serious.
This turned out to be their first date, and Bryiana later shared that Rob first declared his love for her by writing “I love you” in the sand almost a decade ago.
Rob proposed to Bryiana in a memorable way during a trip to Disneyland. During a live performance of *Aladdin*, Rob was brought on stage on an elephant and then proposed to Bryiana.
“I am truly humbled by our love. It is truly a divine creation,” Rob wrote on Instagram after the proposal in April 2015. “You are the love of my life and my true destiny. The day I met you I knew I would spend the rest of my life with you.”
He added, “What our relationship has actually become is a million times better than I knew was even possible. My dreams and your dreams are our dreams. I love you more than words could ever describe and can’t wait for you to be my wife.”
Rob and Bryiana married on September 19, 2015. Rob announced the news on X (formerly Twitter), sharing a photo from their wedding day with the caption, “Mr. And Mrs. Dyrdek” followed by four ring emojis. On the same day, he expressed his sentiments about his new bride.
“Words could never describe how blessed and honored I am to call you my wife,” he wrote. He also added, “You are my true one love and I promise in faithfulness to love and protect you and our marriage, till the end of time.”
After their wedding, the couple enjoyed an “unforgettable” honeymoon in Bora Bora. Rob later recreated their first date for their third wedding anniversary in 2018.
“Five years ago I took @bryianadyrdek on a first date that included a helicopter ride to Bakersfield to rescue puppies. I knew on that flight I would spend the rest of my life with her. Since then we have gotten engaged, married, had two kids, a dog, a rabbit, and a cat,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Every day I am overwhelmed with gratefulness for our life and great love. Today we celebrate our 3-year anniversary so I thought it was only right to surprise her with another helicopter ride.
This time to Catalina Island for a relaxing evening. Love you forever and always,” he concluded the caption with a carousel of photos and video from the special trip.
Bryiana became a mother in 2016 when she gave birth to their son, Kodah Dash, on September 9. Less than a year later, Rob and Bryiana announced they were expecting another baby. In June 2017, Bryiana revealed the sex of their baby in an Instagram post.
“Twinkle, twinkle little star… we spent so much time wondering what you are. Now that we know Kodah will be a big brother to a little sister, we are over the moon and can’t wait to meet you!” she wrote. “You are the perfect addition to our family, sweet girl, and we love you so, so much! I can’t believe this is real.”
In December 2017, the Dyrdeks welcomed their daughter, Nala Ryan. “She is an angel from heaven. She is absolute perfection. She is our princess,” Rob wrote about their newborn. “So thankful for the strength of my amazing wife and grateful for our growing family.”
The Dyrdeks celebrate both Mother’s Day and Father’s Day in style, with Bryiana sharing a heartfelt post for Rob in June 2024, calling him, in part, “our favorite person in the whole world to build memories with.. forever.”
Earlier in 2024, Rob paid tribute to his wife on Instagram.
“Happy Mother’s Day @bryianadyrdek. We love you so much. It’s only right we celebrate you with beach, brunch, and balloons (and more balloons).,” he wrote alongside a series of photos and images showcasing the balloons and flowers he and their children gifted to Bryiana.
In March 2023, Bryiana shared on Instagram that she had recently been diagnosed with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) as an adult.
“After a few months of privately processing my autism diagnosis, I decided to come out about it because the little girl in the last slide deserved better ,” she wrote in the post’s caption, adding, “I’ve finally reached the acceptance phase of my late diagnosis and am filled with more hope and peace than ever before. So if you see me acting different, it’s because I am.”
Bryiana explained in her post that as a child she was a dreamer who “thrived in her own little world” but struggled to transition back into the “real world.”
She had been mislabeled as “dramatic, overly sensitive, unrealistic, needy, immature, and an old soul,” among other descriptors. Pageantry taught her skills like making eye contact and appropriate responses, which helped her go through social interactions.
She shared that she had been “accidentally tricking the world into believing she was neurotypical” while struggling to understand the real world. Bryiana described using movies and TV shows to craft a version of herself that people would accept.
“I was only formally diagnosed with ASD in December 2022, so I’m still new to this journey and have three decades of learning, unlearning, and re-learning to do. I ask for your patience and grace as I rediscover myself… the me I was always meant to be,” Bryiana continued.
She also expressed her hope to work with others to bring “awareness, acceptance, education, resources, and support to make this world a better and safer place for everyone.”
Bryiana admitted she had been “so scared” to share her diagnosis publicly, especially after it wasn’t well received by some close to her, but she now feels more hopeful and at peace with her acceptance of ASD.
