Jessica Szohr is now officially a married woman. The 39-year-old actress tied the knot with Brad Richardson, also 39, earlier this month, a source confirms.
Nina Dobrev, known for The Vampire Diaries, served as her maid of honor. Us Weekly has reached out to Szohr’s representative for additional details.
Szohr, who gained fame playing Vanessa on the popular CW series Gossip Girl, shared several Instagram Story posts that appeared to be from her wedding festivities.
She captioned a black-and-white photo with several friends, including her former Gossip Girl co-star Chace Crawford, with the words “Tying the knot.” The couple went public with their relationship in March 2019.
Before retiring in 2022, Richardson, a Canadian native, played hockey for various teams including the Colorado Avalanche, Los Angeles Kings (with whom he won the Stanley Cup in 2012), Vancouver Canucks, Arizona Coyotes, and Nashville Predators.
In September 2020, Szohr announced she was expecting her first child with Richardson. Their daughter, Bowie Wila, was born in January 2022. Bowie is their first child together, though Richardson also has a daughter from his previous marriage to Lauren Hunt.
Szohr shared a black-and-white photo of her newborn’s hand to announce Bowie’s arrival, captioning it, “Added a little special sweetness to our family and some new direction to our journey on 1-11-21.”
Reflecting on her daughter’s birth, Szohr said, “This journey with Brad and Lexi has been one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.
To then create a human that is absolutely perfect in our eyes and put a feeling in my heart I didn’t know existed is beyond words. I have all the feels and she is really something special.”
Szohr announced her engagement in May 2022 on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself with her new engagement ring beside her fiancé and captioning it, “I said yes!”
Szohr previously dated her Gossip Girl co-star Ed Westwick from 2008 to 2010 and NFL star Aaron Rodgers, whom she briefly dated in 2011 before rekindling their romance three years later. After their split, Szohr was in a relationship with New York Jets player Scotty McKnight from 2015 to 2018.
Richardson, meanwhile, was married to Hunt from 2014 to 2018 before their separation.
