Mark Levin, the conservative radio host, announced on Monday that he suffered a significant injury over the weekend. Levin revealed that he fell and tore his quadricep, which is a group of muscles located at the front of the thigh, and also injured his right knee.
Due to the severity of the injury, Levin mentioned that surgery will likely be necessary before he can return to his on-air duties.
“Unfortunately, I had a very bad fall this weekend and tore my quadricep between my right knee and thigh,” Levin said. “I’ll likely be in surgery in the next day or two. I’ll be back on air as soon as I can. God bless.”
Mark Levin hosts “Life, Liberty & Levin” every Saturday and Sunday on Fox News and his syndicated radio program, “The Mark Levin Show,” which airs every weekday on stations across the country.
With his likely upcoming surgery and recovery time, Levin did not mention who would be filling in for him on either his TV or radio shows during his absence.
Mark Levin is a member of the Radio Hall of Fame and a bestselling author of seven books, including Liberty and Tyranny, American Marxism, and Democrats Hate America, according to his biography on the Radio Hall of Fame’s website.
Before becoming a prominent media figure, Levin served in the administration of former President Ronald Reagan.
He was the chief of staff to then-Attorney General Edwin Meese, deputy assistant secretary at the U.S. Department of Education, and deputy solicitor of the U.S. Department of the Interior.
