Jamie Foxx has put the brakes on proposing to girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp after recovering from a serious health scare, and now the Oscar winner has returned to his workaholic ways, an insider told.
“She was completely supportive when he fell ill, and their bond grew stronger during that time. But Jamie’s feelings seem to be fading,” the source reveals.
“She’s still part of his life, and they see each other from time to time, but it’s not as frequent as it once was.”
The 56-year-old actor first became linked with the Australian fitness model two years ago. Friends noted that their relationship became more serious after his health scare in April 2023.
Jamie’s family described his extended hospital stay as being due to a “medical complication.”
However, sources told that the Django Unchained star had actually suffered a stroke in secret.
Now fully recovered, Jamie has resumed work on the action comedy film Back in Action with Cameron Diaz and shows no signs of slowing down professionally.
“He’s thankful to be alive but is focused on getting his career back on track,” the insider explains.
“It’s unusual to see him so subdued compared to his past, more flirtatious self. There’s a part of him that feels sad about that, but he just can’t maintain that lifestyle anymore.”
Despite his recovery, Jamie still has reservations about committing to marriage with Alyce. According to the source, “He’s gone back to prioritizing work above all else.”
