Solange Magnano, a former Miss Argentina who won the crown in 1994, tragically passed away at the age of 38 due to complications from cosmetic surgery.
She died from a pulmonary embolism following a gluteoplasty procedure in Buenos Aires.
According to her close friend Roberto Piazza, the procedure involved injections, and complications occurred when the injected liquid traveled to her lungs and brain.
“A woman who had everything lost her life to have a slightly firmer behind,” he said.
Solange Magnano’s burial was covered by Argentine television on Monday. Dr. Gonzalo Cortes y Tristan reported that she was admitted to his hospital with acute respiratory deficiency, and her condition worsened, leading to the pulmonary embolism that caused her death.
