Chester Bennington, the lead singer of Linkin Park, tragically passed away at the age of 41. According to the LA County Coroner, Bennington died by apparent suicide, with his body found at a private residence in Los Angeles County at around 9:00 AM local time on Thursday.
Bennington had a close friendship with Chris Cornell, the lead vocalist of Soundgarden, who also died by suicide in May of the same year.
His death occurred on what would have been Cornell’s 53rd birthday, adding a poignant connection between the two musicians.
