Christina Hall recently took to Instagram to share her thoughts on her divorce from Josh Hall. While Josh has not yet made a public statement, Christina’s posts reflect her perspective on the situation.
She has been open about the challenges she’s faced and is focusing on moving forward.
“I have worked my ass off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve/what they did NOT work for should be ashamed,” the HGTV star stated through her Instagram Stories.
“An insecure man with a large ego can sure try and derail you—but ‘still i rise.’”
Christina and Josh Hall’s divorce filing, dated July 15, cites “irreconcilable differences.”
Josh is seeking alimony and aims to prevent Christina from claiming any financial support from him.
He also requests an equal division of community property, which includes their $12 million Newport Beach home purchased in April 2022. Both names are listed on the property’s title.
During the divorce proceedings, Christina and Josh have agreed that Christina will remain in their Newport Beach home with her children.
Josh is reportedly spending time in Nashville. Christina recently shared on Instagram Stories that Josh’s dog, Stella, is staying with her. In a video, Stella and Christina’s own dog, Cash, were seen interrupting her filming at the house.
Christina alleges in a legal filing that Josh made an unscheduled visit to their home to take items and reconnected security cameras she had previously unplugged at the request of his lawyer.
This situation has added to the ongoing tension between the former couple.
She claimed in the filing:
“Josh’s attorney sent a letter demanding that I preserve electronic evidence without it being automatically deleted, so I unplugged cameras so the system would not automatically overwrite the hard drive.”
She added that having the cameras plugged in allows Josh to keep her and her children under surveillance.
“I object to him having that access into my home,” she said in the filing.
Josh has requested the court grant him rights to any HGTV and Discovery Network shows produced during their marriage, raising questions about the future of their joint project, The Flip Off. Despite the legal dispute, Christina’s show is moving forward, but Josh is not participating.
The El Moussas have confirmed that the competition will feature them against Christina, though they mentioned that their on-camera interactions with Josh were limited, so it’s uncertain if he will be edited out of the show.
