Kim Kardashian is bringing her well-known “passion for fashion” to the silver screen. The SKIMS founder, 44, is reportedly set to take on a villainous role in the upcoming Bratz live-action movie being developed by Amazon MGM Studios.

In addition to her on-screen appearance, Kim is also said to be producing the project. She will be joining forces with film producers Erik Feig and Julia Hammer from Picturestart, as well as Jason Larian and Jasmin Larian from MGA Entertainment. MGA’s Isaac Larian will serve as the film’s executive producer, the outlet reports.

Details about the new Bratz film are still scarce. However, this won’t be the brand’s first appearance in theaters. Bratz: The Movie, which premiered in 2007, starred Chelsea Kane, Janel Parrish, Nathalia Ramos, Skyler Shaye, Logan Browning, and Chet Hanks. It remains uncertain whether any of the original cast will return for this new live-action adaptation.

Kim’s involvement also marks a second Kardashian collaboration with the Bratz brand. Her sister Kylie Jenner previously partnered with the company in August 2023, releasing two fashion dolls as part of the Bratz x Kylie Fashion Dolls – Day and Night collection.

One of the dolls showcased a “night look” modeled after Jenner’s striking appearance at the 2022 CFDA Awards, where she wore a dramatic black Mugler gown with a high slit. The second doll wore a “day” ensemble, featuring a patent leather mini dress, dark sunglasses, and the signature Bratz lips purse.

Kylie’s partnership also included the release of six miniature Kylie dolls — Mini Bratz x Kylie Collectibles — that paid tribute to some of her most iconic fashion moments, such as her lavender feathered gown from the 2019 Met Gala. The collaboration was notable for being the brand’s first-ever with a celebrity.

“Yasmin, Cloe, Jade, and Sasha started it all in 2001, and inspired a generation of kids to navigate their world bravely and with Bratitude,” MGA Entertainment CEO and Founder Isaac Larian said at the time.

“Now, the Kylie Jenner and Bratz collab introduces a contemporary style icon who grew up on the dolls into the Bratz Pack and explores what it means to be a modern Bratz girl,” he added.

Both Kim Kardashian and MGA Entertainment — the parent company behind the Bratz brand — are represented by WME, according to The Wrap, which may also help explain the alignment behind this latest movie endeavor.

Kardashian has been expanding her acting résumé lately, including a lead role in American Horror Story: Delicate. She’s also slated to appear in a forthcoming thriller penned by screenwriter Natalie Krinsky. In the past, she’s taken on smaller roles in 2009’s Disaster Movie, Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor, as well as appearances in CSI: NY and Drop Dead Diva.
