Paul Juda played a crucial role in helping the U.S. men’s gymnastics team win a bronze medal in the team all-around at the 2024 Paris Olympics, with his girlfriend, Reyna Guggino, by his side to share the joyous moment.
After the men’s team became the first U.S. team to medal in gymnastics in 16 years, Juda expressed his gratitude to the “love of my life.”
“To have that kind of love, to have that kind of support, and to have someone who understands the ins and outs of gymnastics by your side, it’s a dream come true,” Juda told People, speaking about Guggino, a Division 1 gymnast, after winning the bronze. “Every night is great, and every hard day becomes easier with her. When I come home, I have nothing but a best friend. She’s the love of my life.”

Juda reciprocated the affection on their three-year anniversary, reflecting on their relationship’s ups and downs.
“Girl, I wouldn’t have guessed I’d fall for someone as hard as I’ve fallen for you. We’ve been through the best of times and the worst of times … but we’ve been through them together,” Juda wrote on Instagram.

Guggino announced on Instagram that she was accepted into the Masters of Movement Science program at Michigan after graduating in April and would be returning to the gymnastics team for another year. Juda, studying psychology at the same institution, is expected to graduate in 2025.
July 2024
Guggino traveled to Paris to support Juda during his Olympic competition. Juda credited his girlfriend and a “stern talking-to” she gave him for his place on Team USA.
He revealed to People that he had been discussing his retirement plans with Guggino, feeling like he wouldn’t make the Olympic team just a month before trials. She told him, “I don’t think you’re going to like to hear this, but I came to one of your practices and you just kind of looked like you were giving up, and I know that’s not you.”
“She said, ‘I want you to chase your dream; you only have one chance to chase it,’” he recalled, admitting that he was “pretty upset with her in the moment.”
Ultimately, Juda achieved his dreams and credited his success to Guggino, saying he owed it “all to her.”
