A new chapter has unfolded in the love story of Christian Nodal and Ángela Aguilar. Nearly two months after revealing their romance, it has been confirmed that Nodal, 25, and Aguilar, 20, have strengthened their relationship by getting married.
On Thursday, the Mexican singers shared a joint Instagram post announcing that they officially wed on Wednesday, July 24.
The announcement included a heartwarming photo of the couple sharing a kiss on their wedding day and another capturing them smiling and laughing as they embraced each other.
According to *Hola!*, the couple exchanged vows in a private ceremony at Hacienda San Gabriel de las Palmas in Morelos, Mexico. The bride walked down the aisle with her renowned father, Grammy-winning regional Mexican singer Pepe Aguilar.
Pepe Aguilar publicly offered his blessing to the newlyweds through a heartfelt letter posted on his Instagram on Thursday.
“Whether you realize it or not, today marks the beginning of a new and markedly different path from any you’ve walked before. One where respect and responsibility will be as crucial as love,” he wrote in Spanish.
“Personally, I am very clear about this, and I can affirm the following. In any lasting relationship, love is ‘essential,’ but respect and responsibility are entirely indispensable,” he continued.
Pepe concluded his letter by addressing their “public decision” to marry.
“Even though there may be concerns about such a significant and, in this case, very public decision, and although you are young and still learning, and despite any understandable fears of the unknown that come with such a decision, EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE,” Pepe wrote.
Their relationship garnered immediate attention after it was first announced in June, coming shortly after Nodal’s split from his ex-girlfriend Cazzu in May. The couple had been in a two-year relationship and share a 10-month-old daughter named Inti.
Ángela addressed her relationship with Nodal, who will soon go on his 26-city Pa’l Cora arena tour, in a June interview with *Quién*. She said, “People don’t need to know my truth.”
“I feel like explaining it would make me guilty of something I didn’t even do. That’s why I rarely defend myself, and in fact, I don’t think I ever do.
Let people talk and say what they will; I know who I am and the important people in my life know it too,” she told the outlet in Spanish.
Nodal also responded to questions about his relationship with Ángela in a previous Instagram video, assuring fans that there was no infidelity during his relationship with Cazzu.
