Victoria Jackson estimates that she has about three years to live after doctors discovered her cancer has returned.

On Wednesday, August 14, the 65-year-old former Saturday Night Live star confirmed in her Instagram video series titled “Is the Cancer Back?” that her cancer has indeed returned.

In the nearly 8-minute video, Jackson shared that her cancer is inoperable, explaining that doctors “cannot operate and remove the marble in my chest that’s pressing on my windpipe, which will eventually suffocate me.”

Jackson said her healthcare providers planned to deliver a “magic pill” to her home within 12 hours. She explained that the medication contains Ribociclib, a type of cancer growth blocker, which she hopes will shrink the “marble.”

She added that after researching life expectancy with this treatment, she found that patients who take the “magic pill” typically “have about 32.6 months to live, something like that.”

However, in her Instagram caption, Jackson offered a slightly longer timeline.

“Cancer Update: I have 34.8 months to live if I don’t get hit by a meteor, shot by a MAGA hater, get COVID again, or if WWIII doesn’t break out,” she wrote.

Despite the grim prognosis, the Marriage Retreat actress remained positive in her social media video, saying, “I’ve had a fantastic life.”

Although Jackson seemed content with how she’s spent her life, she admitted there were still a few milestones she hoped to witness.

“I’d like to see my grandson Jimmy born in October and get to know him a little. And I would like to see my daughter Aubrey have a baby,” Jackson said.

Jackson first revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in 2016.

In an August 1 Instagram post, the comedian recorded herself looking up information online. “Okay, I’m trying to see if the marble they found in my lung is cancer or not,” she said in the video.

Her caption confirmed the diagnosis: “It’s cancer! Back from 9 years ago!” she wrote, followed by a Bible verse.

Jackson was a cast member on SNL from 1986 to 1992, known for her features on Weekend Update and her impersonations of celebrities like Roseanne Barr, Sally Struthers, and Zsa Zsa Gabor.
