Laura Anderson has introduced her new footballer boyfriend to her followers, marking the occasion with an Instagram post on Friday.
The 35-year-old Love Island star, who gained fame from the 2018 series of the popular ITV dating show, went public with her relationship with Scottish footballer Clark Robertson.
The 31-year-old athlete currently plays as a centre-back for Dundee, a club in the Scottish Premiership. In the shared photos, the couple appeared overjoyed, beaming with happiness as they posed with their arms around each other.
Laura captioned the post simply, “Happy Friday,” and looked stunning in a pink winter dress that showcased her legs. The post also included a selfie of the couple lounging in bed together, further highlighting their affectionate bond.
This new romance comes over a year after Laura’s very public breakup with actor Gary Lucy, with whom she shares a daughter, 13-month-old Bonnie.
The pair initially met on Celebs Go Dating in 2022 but separated shortly before Laura announced her pregnancy in February 2023.
After this highly publicized split, Laura has now seemingly found happiness once again, with her friends and fans flooding the comments section to express their joy.
Vicky Pattison commented, “Awww, so happy for you, babe,” while others added, “You two look amazing together!” and “You finally found a good one!”
Laura’s Capital Scotland co-host, Fat Brestovci, jokingly warned Clark in the comments: “Just a heads-up, @robbo_3, don’t ever annoy Laura—that’s my job!”
The timing of Laura’s new relationship follows the emotional revelations she shared about her previous split from Gary Lucy.
Speaking on Made By Mammas: The Podcast with Zoe Hardman and Georgia Dayton, Laura explained how devastated she felt when Gary made their breakup public while she was still pregnant, without consulting her.
She recounted how the moment, which should have been filled with joy, became clouded by media scrutiny and negativity.
Laura said, “We were so excited about having Bonnie. We had planned it and everything seemed perfect, but the public announcement blindsided me. It felt like an attack and made it clear that we weren’t going to work things out.”
The former couple had intended to announce Laura’s pregnancy together, but when Gary went public with the breakup on the same day, Laura described how it turned a potentially magical time into a “media circus.”
She remained silent about the details of their split for a while, feeling too vulnerable to speak out. She explained, “I was hoping we could still make it work, but after he made it public, it felt like there was no going back.”
In a previous interview, Laura opened up about the challenges of raising Bonnie as a single mother after her separation from Gary.
She admitted that adjusting to the reality of co-parenting wasn’t easy, but she is committed to making it work for her daughter. “It wasn’t what I expected,” she said.
“But I’m determined to be the best mum I can be. I’m tired, of course, but that’s part of the job. I signed up for this, and I love being a mum.”
Laura also shared some advice for other parents facing similar struggles. She emphasized the importance of prioritizing what matters most and accepting that some aspects of life, like social activities, may have to take a backseat for a while. However, she reassured that good friends will always understand.
Despite the challenges, Laura is thriving, and her new relationship with Clark Robertson marks the beginning of a positive chapter in her life.
