Andrew Garfield has a new person in his life. The Amazing Spider-Man actor was seen holding hands with spiritual reader Kate Tomas during what appeared to be a double date with Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham in March 2024.
According to her website, Tomas is a “magickal practitioner” and offers services such as tarot card readings and spiritual mentorship.
While Garfield generally keeps his private life away from public scrutiny, he has had some notable relationships over the years, including a long-term romance with his Spider-Man costar Emma Stone in the 2010s.
In late 2021, he began dating model Alyssa Miller, but the two parted ways by April 2022, a source told.
“I’m not in the public eye to a great degree because I’ve designed it that way for myself,” he shared in a 2021 interview, explaining his decision to keep his love life private.

Tomas hails from the U.K. and discovered her “intuitive abilities” early in life, according to her website. She studied classics in college and began a spiritual apprenticeship at the age of 19.
Her early work included offering tarot readings and advice to clients from a room above a crystal shop in Glastonbury.
She attended Oxford University
Dissatisfied with the spiritual and self-help industry, Tomas decided to pursue her doctorate in philosophy at Oxford University.
Out of more than 7,000 applicants, she was accepted as one of only two students. This led her to move from London to Oxford, where she studied for five years before earning a degree in theology.
She is a “magickal practitioner”
In 2018, Tomas launched a group mentorship program called Foundations of Energy Master. This program, designed for females and non-binary people, teaches her spiritual practices.
“After achieving the highest level of education in my subject possible—both practically and academically—I realized that what gave me the strongest sense of meaning was teaching and sharing the knowledge and experience I had, with people who needed it,” she explained on her website.
In addition to mentorship, Tomas also offers readings. According to her website, her clients have included notable names like Lena Dunham and Megan Mullally.
Tomas also has a large following on TikTok, where she shares videos on a variety of topics, from making the perfect cup of tea to defining magic.
“I am trained, initiated, and I teach within the Western esoteric tradition of ritual magic,” she said in one of her videos.
“I have training in Solomonic magic, and I teach a particular version of ritual magic that incorporates my strong understanding of energy work and magical practices, as well as my experiences as a neurodiverse, ADHD, autistic, assigned female at birth, disabled, queer person.”

In 2019, Tomas published a book titled Chakra Crystals, which is a guide for those interested in meditation through the use of crystals.
“Within all living beings are powerful energy centers called chakras, which hold the potential for immense restoration,” the book’s description reads.
“Dr. Kate Tomas, a trained psychic and master magical energy strategist, shows you how to have a more fulfilling life through the power of meditation-based crystal healing using your chakras.”
The book also comes with seven crystals, each intended to work with the body’s chakras.

Garfield and Tomas were seen holding hands during a date in Malibu, California, in March 2024. The couple was accompanied by Bridgers and Burnham.
For the occasion, Garfield wore a gray sweater paired with dark blue pants, while Tomas opted for a floral dress and carried a black handbag.
She addressed “misogynistic” reactions to her relationship with Garfield
In a July 2024 interview, Tomas discussed the “misogynistic nature” of the public’s interest in her relationship with Garfield.
“It’s frustrating that no matter how accomplished or impactful a woman is, it’s always going to be more interesting if they are in a relationship with a man,” she remarked. “I don’t want to sit under anybody’s shadow.”
Tomas also touched on the paparazzi, stating, “They will take maybe 150 pictures, then they choose the four where you look worst.”
