Alexandra Daddario managed to keep her pregnancy under wraps from the general public, but concealing it from her *Mayfair Witches* castmates proved to be more challenging.

In an interview with *Entertainment Weekly* published on Saturday, July 27, Daddario revealed that she struggled with morning sickness while filming the second season of the AMC series, describing herself as a “vomit monster.”

The series, based on Anne Rice’s novels, was shot in New Orleans and Dublin. Daddario’s refusal to join her colleagues for post-filming outings raised suspicions among the cast.

“Alex was at home with her secret every night,” said Ben Feldman, who portrays Daddario’s love interest in the upcoming season. “How that was kept a secret is stunning to me.”

Daddario, 38, admitted that she couldn’t hide her pregnancy-related nausea on set. “Once, I threw up right outside my trailer, and my best friend had to hose it down,” she shared, humorously noting that she didn’t bother with breath mints before filming scenes with Feldman, 44.

“I was like, ‘I just threw up, let’s go for it,’” she recounted. While Feldman expressed sympathy for Daddario, he also felt he deserved some empathy.

“I was the love interest who had to kiss the person who was puking,” he said, mimicking a typical exchange with Daddario.

“[She would say], ‘Let’s see if you can get this in one take because I’m gonna puke again.’”

Daddario reflected that the nausea helped her portrayal of her character, Rowan, who experiences significant discomfort throughout the season.

“She’s not doing great, but maybe because Alex Daddario wasn’t doing great,” she explained. “So maybe I brought that to my character. The second season explores her evolution and delves into, ‘Now that she knows who she is, what’s next?’”

Daddario is expecting her first child with husband Andrew Form.

In a recent interview with *Vogue*, she shared that this isn’t her first pregnancy, recalling a previous pregnancy loss as “very, very painful.”

“It’s long and complicated, so I don’t want to be too specific,” she reflected.

“Those kinds of losses and trauma are hard to explain unless you’ve been through them. I deeply empathize with women who’ve experienced similar situations in a way I hadn’t understood before.”

She also noted that Feldman became suspicious of her pregnancy when she avoided deli meats on the *Witches* set.

“I have wonderful costars who have kids, and everyone was very understanding about making out with a nauseous, vomiting girl,” she shared.
