Red’s wedding with Mark Angels sounds like it was a glamorous and memorable event. The choice of a “black-tie summer bling” theme at the Orangery in Maidstone Kent must have made for a stunning setting. Congrats to the happy couple!
“After initially planning to get married in the Philippines, we were looking to find a venue that shared similarities of my fiancé’s culture as well as our British roots,” Red shares, adding that the pair fell in love with the Orangery for it’s “Lapa” and “gorgeous lake.”
Red adds that the site for their vows “brings back fond memories of where we got engaged in Mark’s homeland – The Philippines.”
It sounds like Red and Mark Angels put a lot of thought into making their wedding a special experience for their guests.
The welcome brunch pool party at a 9-bedroom mansion must have set a wonderful tone for the celebrations. The addition of bagpipes for the ceremony is a unique and memorable touch!
“A bagpiper at our ceremony was something we both felt strongly about, bringing our Scottish heritage to the ceremony was a must-have,” says Red.
The music then transitioned to “a string quartet headed by our friend Olivia, who has played for some of the biggest pop acts in the UK [including] Ed Sheeran and Adele,” says Red.
Olivia prepared “bespoke arrangements” of the couple’s “favorite songs to walk down the aisle to and entertain our guests.”
Red’s choice of a “fairytale dream come true” dress with an extravagant train and Swarovski crystal details sounds absolutely enchanting.
It’s great to hear that the bling was tasteful and elegant. Mark Angels’ decision to wear a Scottish national kilt adds a lovely personal touch to the ceremony.
Their choices for the wedding day really reflect their unique styles and the significance of the occasion.
Red’s reception look sounds stunning! Channeling “old Hollywood glam” with a short gold mini dress adorned with feathers and pearl embellishments, paired with opera gloves, must have made a dramatic and glamorous statement.
It’s wonderful that she had such a chic and stylish change for the reception.
The wedding reception sounds like it was a fantastic blend of flavors and entertainment. Steak and chips alongside traditional Scottish square sausage rolls make for a hearty and enjoyable menu. Having Irn Bru on tap as a nod to Mark’s heritage is a thoughtful touch.
The 12-piece Gospel Choir flash mob during dinner must have been a memorable highlight, and an open mic with the wedding band is a great way to showcase the musical talents of the guests.
It’s lovely to hear how Red and Mark Angels’ connection began through a shared appreciation for R&B music.
Discovering Mark’s YouTube videos and being drawn to his voice and charisma must have been a serendipitous moment for Red.
Their bond over music and ambition clearly laid the foundation for a strong and meaningful relationship.
“We became inseparable best friends for two years before the inevitable attraction started to blossom,” she continues. “Eight years later, I am now getting married to my best friend.”
“Our wedding can only be described as a movie,” says Red. “With twists and turns, but always ending in pure bliss and euphoria. And of course, a partner for life who I can grow old with and relive every moment with.”
